To diagnose dermatologic disorders, our service offers following examinations:
skin scraping and smears
Skin scraping and smear sampling help to diagnose the infectious nature of the disease by detecting pathogen bacterias or fungi.
dermatoscopy
Dermatoscopy (epiluminescence microscopy) is a non-invasive diagnostic method, which allows us to see structural changes of the skin lesions that are not visible to the naked eye. It's performed with a special device called dermatoscope. Pigmented nevi are one of the common indications for dermatoscopy and the test is important for early diagnosis of melanoma, a type of malignant tumor. In addition to pigmented nevi, dermatoscopy can also be used to diagnose other skin conditions, including benign formations, malignant non-melanoma cancer, infectious diseases, and vascular neoplasms.
