Intensive Care and Resuscitation Department
Intensive Care and Resuscitation Department

The Intensive Care and Resuscitation Department of “Arabkir” MC-ICAH was founded in 1987. Due to almost 30 years of continuous work, the mortality rate has decreased from 15% to 4%, which corresponds to European standards. The department has 18 beds and provides medical care to more than 800 patients aged 28 days to 18 years every year. The department has 6 specialists: the head of the department, a day-care doctor and a doctor on duty, as well as 16 highly qualified nurses, that ensure the 24-hour uninterrupted work of the department.

The intensive care department is equipped with all necessary equipment. Each bed is provided with an individual source of oxygen supply, compressed air and negative pressure exhaust system.

The department is the only one in the country that provides kidney replacement therapy/hemodialysis in children using advanced equipment, as well as peritoneal dialysis.
