Developmental Pediatric Service


When you or your pediatrician have a concern that your child may need support for their development, behavior, or social communication, we offer comprehensive assessment services and follow-up care.
The Developmental Pediatricians work with the child and family as part of the multi-faceted team including physiotherapists, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists

We support:
• Infants - with motor delays or global developmental delays, including concern for cerebral palsy
• Toddlers - with motor, language, and social delays including suspicion of autism spectrum disorder or cerebral palsy, sleep disorders
• Preschool/School age - concern for learning and/or developmental-behavioral difficulties, attentional concerns, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders or anxiety or behavioral feeding concerns, sleep disorders.

Assessment:
• Assessment for Mental and Adaptive Functions- Play behavior (Zurich), Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, Third Edition (Bayley-III), SON-R 2-8 Nonverbal Intelligence Test, Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (KABC-II), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC V), Vineland III adaptive behavior scales
• Autism Spectrum disorder- Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) II
• Memory and executive functions tests for patients with epilepsy before and after a surgery - Montreal Cognitive Test (MoCa), Beck

Depression Inventory, Children`s Memory Scale (CMS), Grober &Buschke Verbal Memory Test, Boston Memory Test, Rey-Osterrieth complex figure test (ROCF).

Our assessment lasts about 1,5-2 hours.

We cooperate with the Developmental Pediatrics department of University Children`s Hospital Zurich
