“Hi, I’m Cassidy Meghan and I want to tell you about epilepsy and say that people with epilepsy are just like others, they are one of you”. This letter of a 9-year old girl was the reason for the International Epilepsy Day, also known as a “Purple Day”. The goal is to raise awareness about epilepsy and to tell people that epilepsy is not a verdict, people with epilepsy know to dream, and, most importantly, know how to live with epilepsy.
Armenian children with epilepsy receive medical care and service in “Arabkir” Medical Complex. Not only diagnosis and treatment are conducted here, but all the necessary procedures of follow-up care as well. One of the greatest achievements of recent years are the surgeries performed in cases of epilepsy, the effectiveness of which was evaluated by both foreign and our own experience. The Neurology and Neurosurgery Service of “Arabkir” MC closely cooperates with European partners, particularly Bulgarian, who came to Armenia and directly introduced this neurosurgical practice to us.
