Computed Tomography (CT scan)
Computed Tomography (CT scan)

The service offers computed tomography (CT) scans, which are non-invasive methods of examining the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and limbs. CT scans use X-ray technology to capture layered images of organs. The X-rays are directed at different angles and the amount of absorption by the tissue is recorded by detectors and processed into images by a computer. These images are then reconstructed into a 3D model of the organ. CT scans are now considered a primary diagnostic tool for pathologies of the brain, lungs, mediastinum, abdominal organs, heart, vessels, and bones.
