Diagnostic Methods

Following examinations are needed to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases:

Echocardiography, which shows the anatomical structure of the heart and major vessels, as well as the features of the valvular system.

Doppler ultrasound helps to diagnose pathologic flows, pathologies of coronary arteries and congenital and acquired pulmonary hypertension.

Electrocardiography enables diagnosing heart rhythm abnormalities, hereditary disorders, age-related transient arrhythmias and drug-induced arrhythmias. An electrocardiogram is a mandatory examination for a child with more than one episode of syncope.

24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring devices are available at “Arabkir” MC, which enable accurate recording of the average blood pressure in children of different age groups both during physical activity and sleeping.
