Hearing Aids for Participants of War

“Armenia Hearing Aid Project” (founded by Kavouchkian family, LA) - hearing aids for participants of the 2020 war in Artsakh, has launched. This project is initiated by the “Arabkir” Medical Complex and the Arabkir United Children’s Charity Fund and with the help of benefactors of the Armenian community in the US. From October 1st to 4th servicemen with hearing disabilities can visit “Anabella” hotel on 17 Mamikonyants str, where all stages of selection, adaptation and installation of hearing aids are organized.

Today the project team welcomed Tatevik Stepanyan, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. Ms. Stepanyan ensured that such initiatives of Charitable, Public Organizations and individuals are really a great help both for beneficiaries and for the republic.

The project started by collecting data on beneficiaries. It was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Medical Institutions, Public Organizations and individuals. Of the 250 registered, about 170 people were examined, 130 of whom will be provided with hearing aids at this stage. US-based Armenian beneficiaries have expressed their willingness to support more war participants and the beneficiary registration process is still going on.

Modern digital hearing aids, able to compensate even for profound hearing loss, are provided. After computational adjustments of hearing aids beneficiaries will receive free aftercare services, such as troubleshooting and for other possible problems. Hearing aids work with rechargeable batteries.
